PCAT Test

The Pharmacy College Admission Test is an admissions test that is required by many colleges of pharmacy as part of the application process. It is designed to measure the abilities and aptitudes that are needed to succeed in pharmacy school, with a focus on the science-oriented courses.

The PCAT exam consists of 192 multiple choice questions and 1 essay question. It is a computer-based test that can be taken at any of the Pearson VUE Test Centers located throughout the United States as well as in a number of international cities. You may not bring any notes, but you will be able to access a periodic table and a calculator. Your essay must be typed. There is no preset passing score since each college of pharmacy has its own admissions criteria.

This is a very challenging exam, so make sure you do plenty of PCAT prep. You can start your test prep with our free PCAT practice test. It should give you a good idea of which areas you need to focus more of your time on. You may want to purchase a study guide as well.
